Southern Wilderness · Ruaha National Park

Ruaha: Rugged, remote, unforgettable

Vast landscapes, rugged beauty and exceptional wildlife make Ruaha one of Tanzania's great southern wilderness destinations.

Ruaha is one of Tanzania's largest parks, yet it sees only a small fraction of the northern circuit's visitors. The Great Ruaha River draws big prides of lion, large elephant herds and the rare greater and lesser kudu.

It is where East and Southern African species meet, and it is often reached by light aircraft for a truly private wilderness experience.
